FAQ

These are the most commonly asked questions we get regarding our clinic and chiropractic care.

  • Who can get an adjustment?
Almost anyone can get an adjustment, and virtually every person needs chiropractic care, from newborns to the elderly. The only thing stopping anyone from being getting an adjustment here is if they physically can not get on to the adjusting table.
  • Will I have to take X rays?
We generally don't request x rays at the beginning of treatment, unless there has been a trauma and we need to rule out any fractures or other pathology. If we get into treatment for a couple of weeks and there is not improvement as expected, we may request to have x rays or an MRI taken. If you have had x rays or MRI in the past, please let your doctor know.
  • I'm scared to get my neck popped, should I avoid chiropractic care?
Only you can ultimately decide if you want to receive a chiropractic adjustment. Our technique does not require turning the head and introducing a force into the spine. Even though the probability of injury from any chiropractic treatment is extremely small, this technique is very comfortable for all people of all ages.
  • What is your adjusting method called?
    Activator Methods Adjusting Technique
  • Does it hurt?
There may be some tenderness when pushing on an area of injury or stress. But the adjustment itself does not hurt. It is a very quick movement and happens before the muscles and tissues have time to tense up.
  • Do you take my insurance?
We have chosen not to be in network providers with any insurance plans. The cost of administering insurance becomes too high, which in turn causes us to raise our prices and make it unaffordable. Insurance companies also like to dictate the type and amount of care that we provide. We like the treatment plan and decisions to be made between the doctor and the patient.
  • How much will it cost?
The cost of the initial assessment is $59. Subsequent adjustments are $40 each. The number of adjustments needed will vary from person to person and episode to episode, which will all be determined by case history and exam. We do offer packages that can help save some money when needing to come in for multiple adjustments or those that want to plan out their regular maintenance in advance.
